"This story by Pavel Sanaev is deeply lyrical for me, kind and not at all cruel, as it seems at first glance. It is about love. About why we, grandchildren, are like this. It is about us, about our traumas. I think that this material should be interesting to the viewer. The peculiarity of the form, perhaps, will be a special view of Pavel Sanaev's text from today, from our time of the 21st century. I am interested in the tools and mechanisms of memory, recollections, the matrix of images and pictures: how it happens inside us. And working with the wonderful actors involved in the play is an opportunity for search and discovery."
